Trail head is the cleghorn road off-ramp from I-15 just north of the I-15/I-215 junction for anyone who didn't know. You can see the trail head from the freeway.

This run is very stock friendly because there is a fire road that criss-crosses the trail that is pretty nice....all but paved. every obstacle is optional because there are either easy lines, or you can take the fire road around.

A truck locked in the rear on 33" tires could(and did yesterday) make every trail out there.

smiling jim's sas'd 89 truck made everything out there, on 36's. i made almost everything i attempted, and what i didnt was my fault, took a bad line and not enough skinny pedal, i dug in and never recovered. tried to go around and high centered on a berm. this is a fun trail, something for everyone.

I'm in...well 90% in. I have my kids that weekend, but I'll check with Grandma and see if I can get her to watch them. My buddy just picked up his Taco last week, so it may be 2 of us joining.

I wanna be in but I have bald stock tires now after my swampers blew. Plus my Bro In law is getting married (albeit at city hall) sometime around then as the date keeps changing. I'll try my best as the date is fast approaching!!!

I 'll see if I can find the proposed dates. As far as talking to someone about the closures you should have done that about 4 months ago. I'll post up as soon as I find the dates.

Route Designation Meetings and Proposal

For Immediate Release Contact:
Richard Thornburgh (909) 382-2643
San Bernardino National Forest Seeks Public Comment on Route Designation Proposal

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. ? In accordance with the new agency-wide Travel Management Rule, the San Bernardino National Forest (SBNF) is inviting comments on proposed changes to the forest's motorized travel system. The SBNF has an established, designated system for off highway vehicles (OHV) and other motorized vehicle use, and these changes are designed to improve the system.

The SBNF is hosting four open house sessions to distribute information and encourage discussion with forest personnel. Open houses will be held:

? February 15th, 7-9pm - SBNF Supervisor's Office, 602 S. Tippecanoe in San Bernardino
? February 20th, 7-9pm - Holiday Inn, 9750 Keystone Point in Hesperia
? February 21st, 7-9pm - Idyllwild Fire Station, 54160 Maranatha Drive in Idyllwild
? February 22nd, 7-9pm - Hootman Community Center, 2929 Running Springs School Road in Running Springs
The public is invited to review the proposal and submit comments to identify issues. A detailed proposed action and maps are available on the SBNF website at
http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/sanbernardin...ects/ohv.shtml

Detailed comments should be received by February 23, 2007. Send written comments to: Richard Thornburgh, Supervisor's Office, 602 S. Tippecanoe, San Bernardino, CA 92408
or e-mail comments to comments-pacificsouthwest-san-bernardino@...
with the words "Route Designation" in the subject line. Please note particular routes of concern in the comments, by including the route identifier (e.g. 3N14) and the start and end points (e.g. "between X and Y").

Under the new Travel Management Rule, national level and California interest groups representing OHV, hunting, environment, recreation, and other issues have been involved in developing the national strategy for route designation. The SBNF is seeking and encouraging continued participation of interested groups and individuals in this process.

"We have a great history of public involvement for important issues on the San Bernardino National Forest," said Jeanne Wade Evans, Forest Supervisor. "Again, we encourage all to attend our open houses and submit comments."

For further information or for special need requests for the open house sessions, please contact Richard Thornburgh at 909-382-2642 (voice), 800-877-8339 (TTY),

I'm out....kids have softball games. Hopefully I'll have a chance to run it again, but it's not sounding good.
