I'd love to go! I just need to check with my better half. I have some other friends who would like to go too - if you don't mind being seen in public hanging out with a jeep.
Do you have any trails in particular in mind?
Maybe even for the nite and head home Sunday morning.

I just checked with my better half and the 16th works for us! Does anyone have any thoughts about camping for the night since its going to be a long drive for some of us? I have an insane amount of firewood if its ok to burn up there. My friends and I will probably camp regardless so if anyone else is down for camping let me know!

There's a number of campground up there that are decent but their fireboxes suck.
Don't know anything about disperse camping.
What trails are you all going to run?

If you want a good one that avoids the pink jeeps and alot of other traffic. Oak Creek Homestead is good one to run.
The Seven Scared Pools is short and not many places to pull over if you run into other traffic. Plus, it's kind of dull, best time to go would be after or during a rain storm.
Van Deren Cabin is another short one with pink jeeps.
Then you have Greasy Spoon but I've never ran that one so no comment.
You always have Schelnby Hill Road into Sedona.

UPDATE: 12 May 2009
Sorry guys but I will not be able to go on this trip, a friend of mine just lost her mom and I will be at the funeral instead.
Have fun for me, we can plan a trip for a later date if you want.

Are you coming down to Chandler to check out those 2 trucks? I live in Chandler and I might swing by and check them out too - I love the style of the 1st gen pick ups. It would look awesome next to my 1st gen 4Runner.
if you do come down here, hit me up!
