Not that I ever second guessed the ability of the Toyota 4 Runner, but I must say after Tellico, I gained a new found respect for it. It’s a tough little vehicle and will damn near go anywhere “STOCK”. It must be an awesome feeling have a modified 4 Runner.

Bring it down to Arizona or Moab or Colorado or California, I'll meet you and we'll grind some slider.

Oh, the sliders held up beautifully and will require quite a bit of rattle canning to keep them from starting to rust in the near future I imagine. I haven't bothered to wash any dirt off yet
so I don't really know the extent the thrashing the sliders took. I'd love to head your way and bring a friend or two, but let me get a locker or two and I'll certainly see if I can talk the boss into letting me "teleport" to the west coast. Us old
gotta stick together!

Steve, why do you think Rocks are the end all be all of 4 wheeling? I would have loved to see you try the mudpit. Why do you feel you always have to bash all the wheeling if it's not out in AZ on the rocks?
I can't imagine the trails we rode after a hard rain. Rocks, and mud, and GOOEY mud would have made for some CRAZY damage, and hard wheelin

Now take a look at yourself, have I ever joked around with you? No, we do not have a repore going.
Did you know that in 2002 I flew out to the East Coast 4Runner Jamboree. I borrowed Ace Lacerna’s Mini Pickup and wheeled all over George Washington National Forest. I met you east coasters half way to attended your event, I had a great time. Rocks are not the end all, but they are quite fun, hence a new sport born out of rock crawling.
What I don’t understand is why not a single one of the east coast people, with the exception of the guy from Maine/Minnesota who was on the DeSoto run have ever bothered to attend one of the western events? It’s not hard, buy a plane ticket and fly out.
There are many challenges in 4 wheeling, many become easier with the more “invisible” hardware you install. All trails can be difficult and all locations have good areas for off pavement fun.

I hate flying! Notice now...WHEN I eventually get out that way it will be to wheel, not ride along! But of course, if I can survive riding with my wife I guess I could handle anybody's driving...
I got to get more of those "invisible" mods first, but they are coming!

Once again there is a repore there.
