Nope, from what I gather probably just some more fender trimming, and I should be good to go. I may even sell my tires ahead of time to get the bigger tires, but I doubt it. Skid plates? Yeah, by next year I'll have some for sure.

All the videos should be working now! Who else has some video they'd like to have posted on the web? Is that all of the pictures everyone has? I know Chris (highlandrunner) is sending me all his so I can post them up, and I've still got the video off my camera to post up too.

I really think we all need to caravan out to Az one day. That'll solve all the debates about az rock crawling and southeast mudding

I don't doubt that steve's tires and 4runner work very well for his purposes but i think that you would end up being disappointed trying to run those tires that he has. Even if you avoid all of the mudholes you still run into slick and slimy moss and mud covered rocks that they tend to not have too many of out west. Thats just my opinion from looking at his tires, keep in mind i have no real world east coast experience with them. nor have i ever seen anyone out here with them.

Have you ever seen the REVO's in action?

i am not talking about the revo's i am talking about the tire's steve has. I don't doubt that they can work very well in rocks, but i know that if they are anything like all of the other all terrains i have seen they probably cake up and turn into slicks. You have definitely proven that your 4runner is very capable. I believe that you will continue to do so even with the other all terrains especially with the front locker you have planned. I think it is one of those situations where you compromise some with the tires but more than make up for it with your other mods. I love my current tires, but they are very heavy and with my new 5.29's and ARB's i need to go to something taller, at least a 35". I am waiting to hear to hear some hopefully positive reviews on a new tire that cooper just released, it appears to have a similar tread design to the mtr's, if that doesn't work out i will probably end up with another set of trxus tires.

actually looking at the tires closer the yoko and the revo seem to have much more similar tread patterns than i remembered. Regardless, i am sure that you will do fine with whatever you choose. Did you ever get any further on relocating your gas tank or your drivetrain lift? i was looking at the RB body lifts and drive train lifts the other night. I wish that i could find someone that wanted to buy my tires and stuff right now so i could go bigger and install the 5.29's but it just isn't logical when my tires still have 75% of the tread left.

I don't have any direct expierence with the Yoki's, but I know my Revo's clean pretty damn well as most of you saw in the mud pit.

I'm not convinced it is a compromise with my tires or Steve's tires. I've yet to have a mud tire or any other type tire beat me out on terrain.

Yeah, I'm definitely looking into 35" tires, but I guess I'll have to get new wheels too, so once I do it, I want to make my backspacing and fender clearance will work. Since my 4runner is probably going to shift from my daily driver to my second vehicle in the next 6 months, I may bite the bullet and get the Baja Claws which I think are great all around tires too, but they are agressive looking too.

You would llike that one the best, but I'd have to go with the one where I blow through with my all-terrains without any trouble.

I've still got to find the time to finish my rear bumper, then I'm relocating the gas tank.

I only said that, because I knew you were going to say that. Next year I'll go first, but you are right!

i am going to be going with the 17" tundra wheels, i found a great deal on them whenever i want them. I am going with the 2" rb body lift and all-pro control arms for the front. That should take care of all of the clearance problems on the suspension end, it will just be time to start trimming on the flares and what not.

i still like them a lot! The center is starting to wear a little more noticeable than the sides, i guess that is one of the consequences to running them at 35psi on a 7" wheels. I finally rotated them about 2,000 miles ago and they smoothed out real quick again. I need to get them rebalanced and try lowering the pressure a little more to get more even treadwear out of them. I am over 13,000 miles on them now and still love them!
