This trip could be a dual purpose one.
Fall colors are out now in the mountains up at Greenwater, and I also would like to see if there was an interest in some from the forum here camping up along Forest Service Road 70 next summer.

Back in the summer of 2001 (pre YotaTech) several of us drove up ten miles along FS 70 to find a nice spot on the right that is right along a river.

The first site is pretty huge, and to the right of it are several more spots accessed from beyond the entrance to this first one.

 

Here are a few pictures taken by me back in the summer of 2001 at the spot that I think would be good for a backcountry camping trip.

I am not sure if the area is still good to camp at or not, hence whey I would like to check it out.

So many spots up there over the past several years have been ruined and shut down due to transients living in the spots, bad off roaders leaving trash.
