Portland get together
Yesterday I flew in to Portland for the ABRF meeting. Shane and Mad Chemist (David) made the trek down from Washington to hang out for the day.
We met up at the hotel and headed in to the cantina for a beverage and some banter. Later we decided to venture out to the Multnomah Falls area. On the ride out, I learned that David likes to talk smack on the CB.
The waterfalls were very impressive. I took a bunch of pics, but I forgot to bring a card reader with me - so they will have to wait till Wednesday.
We then took the old Columbia River Highway heading back towards Portland, stopping along the way at a few other falls. At one spot, David decided to skip the pavement and park on the side of the road, in the mud. When we left, David started to get a little sideways...I thought he was going to have to winch that grocery getter out of the puddle.
We got back to Portland and decided to grab some dinner. At a downtown stooplight, Shane was practically propositioned by a blonde chick crossing the street. She had just got out of a Sammi, saw Shane's monster rig, and flashed a HUGE smile.
We ended up heading to McCormick and Schmick's for a good seafood dinner. I ordered sea scallops, but I think they brought me an appetizer instead of an entree - I only got 4 scallops!
After dinner we hopped on the MAX to head back to the hotel, and we were highly entertained by two guys, probably on some illegal substance. One guy was telling the other about another time he was drunk and/or high, and whacked his head off a pole on the MAX. I guess you had to be there.
After that interesting ride, Shane and David headed back home. All in all it was a great day. Thanks guys for hanging out in Portland!

Great pics Shane! I'm anxious to get mine uploaded.
I had a strange phone call earlier. Tell Jessica that I'm flattered, but I'm MARRIED.
Definitely had a good time, I never realized Tom was a woman until I met "him" in person. He's got great legs for a dude. Its amazing who you can pretend to be over the internet.....
