In his defense... three of us were backing down a steep dune we could not climb on the first try. On the way down, because of the angle, he could not see the bowl that was behind him. As he was backing down to get a second run at it, his rear dropped into the bowl and he sorta high centered. It had nothing to do with his 4WD.

ya! thats my story and i'm sticking to it.

btw, Milton took one for the team. He used most of the air on his tank on my tires (and everyone else) that he ended up airing up at the local gas station. I insisted on using my bicycle pump but he declined.

Do you by any chance have the high resolution pic of the "bud recovery"?
If so, can you email it? I want to print that out.
Glad you made it home in one piece.

Thanks,

I hear so much props on Mclintocks; even from my co-workers.
Have to try this place out next visit.

Bob/George, good call on the chowder!

Yes... I fell in a hole because I was too close to it, it was pretty scary because my truck just slid down to the rear right! I was at 10psi (for sure), and with all the help I got we aired down to 6psi which taught me the lesson again!

Uh, you guys know you could have driven to the gas station. It's not that far and you're not going that fast.

It actually could have aired me up to 23 but I didnt want to take my chances. Sooo getting the bicycle pump picture next time! I think its time to find a bigger tank, dont know what Im gonna do without CO2 when I end up at 4~5psi every trip!

ya, unfortunately i took most of his air.

when we decided to go get some food around 4:00 i was at 6 PSI. so milton pulled out his air tank and filled me up to 25. i started my truck up and quicky discovered that i was stuck at camp so i had to air down again and then fill up again once we got to the enterance.

thanks very much milton for the air ups, i owe you big time. i wish you woulda let me buy you soup.

Great pics and vids guys. Very creative stuff you were doing with that camera Milton. Nice vids Bud, I couldnt care less if the res was low... I always love to see a Toyota beating a Dodge in a race

New learning experience for me blowing a bead...Now I know not to take those bowls so dam fast....lol And/Or I need to get some kings to soften up the bottom of that bowl...lol Thankfully we had the pit crew on hand and a local tire shop in town, so it was a quick fix and back to wheelin.

Jason, props on pulling that guy out...lmao I was sure we were gonna see two trucks stuck. Glad to hear things are gonna work out for you Eric.

Hope we can do this again soon, once again I had a blast!!!

For the next time anybody blows a bead...the powertank can re-seat a bead. If no powertank is available, then use a ratchet strap around the tire to push the bead out. Then a normal compressor/gas station should be able to reseat it.

Yeah we could have done the bead there at camp but the back bead was still set and the tire was full of sand... I wanted to get all that sand out and get the tire balanced before the long trip back home so thats why I tracked down the tire shop...Plus the guy only charged me 10 bucks so it worked out great...
