Or if we're really anxious for new merchandise, we can probably get shirts made with the winning image now.
I nominate this one:

a bit off topic
Cabbage,
Isn't Santa Maria close to San Juan Bautista? Just wondering what the area is like to live in. Thanks!

FirstToy, Santa Maria is right above Santa Barbara and below pismo, from a farther view we're in the middle of San Francisco and LA

wow, someone's eager to get back

i'd actually probably be able to make it. i'll be living in sf by then, but i'm going down down south that weekend for a pennywise show on sunday, so pismo would make for a good stop.

All of us had a great time at the dunes this weekend. I am so glad we went. I learned a lot and met some great folks too. I want to thank everyone that showed up and especially Tom, Bob and Steve for the leadership and expertise they shared with all of the newbies (read: ME).

I also want to thank Charles and Jason for the time spent out and about as the sun was dropping on Saturday night. My three favorite moments were:

1. Watching Charles scale a tough hill that a Chevy Silverado 4X4 had to back down, then doing it twice myself with some of his coaching.
2. Getting some real air (all four wheels) on the drag strip in the dark.
3. The first climb up competition hill, then going down it on Saturday morning.

My scariest moment was hitting the ground hard after the real air racing Charles and Jason in the dark.

Thanks all for a great time. You were all very fun to be around.

P.S.- Is anyone else still trying to get all the sand out of their hair?

Was that at the drag strip? That's where Jim broke the mansonmobile. We told him it was rough on the left side, but he didn't believe us. He ended up turning his transmission into a coffee grinder.

Exactly,
We were at the Drag Strip and there were only a few Quads there. We were on the left side of the course. Jason said "there are some bumps out there" as he shined his search light ahead. They looked pretty small. Well I hit the first one at about 20 mph and went flying. All the stuff inside the truck went flying too. Glasses came out of the overhead console, it was nasty. Took about three more bumps to stop. I limped over to the side and looked under the truck to see if there was any damage. Looks and drives fine... Steve, as you know, I had a hard time seeing the bumps out there in the sand. Remember the bumps at the bottom of that hill I was following you down? I think you said something like... "You were going too fast..." Uh, yeah.

Some nice pics there!
Dang, I wish I hadn't been stuck with babysitting duty - not that I resent my group (Lord, no). Sure would have been nice if I could have joined you guys out there.

Maybe next time!

Tacoma Dude,
Tell the couple from UCSB that we made it to La Super-Rica in SB on the way home Monday afternoon. Tell them thanks for the directions!

It was nice meeting you and your nice group of campers.

I liked your rig. Next time for sure!

Looks like you guys had a great time !!!
I don't know if you could have handled Pismo, Steve. You would have had to actually shift out of 4lo-lo, I'm not sure if you know how to use 4hi! Did you know there is actually a gear between 4lo and neutral?
