October trail ride at Paragon... who's interested?

There has been some talk in another thread about getting together a trip to Paragon. I thought I'd start a new thread for the topic to give it some more visibility.

Here's the park's calendar through the end of october...

9/20-9/21 - Quigley 4x4 will be there, park open to the public
9/27-9/28 - Park closed to 4x4s
10/4-10/5 - Monthly trail ride; park is open but will be busy
10/11-10/12 - Park open
10/18-10/19 - Park open
10/26-10/26 - Park open

I vote for any time other than 10/4-10/5. The park can get pretty busy on monthly trail ride days... I'd just assume go when there is going to be less traffic on the trails.

If you are intersted in going, let us know when is good for you. We would also need to know how modified your rig is or what type trails you wanted to run. If the group gets big enough, we might need to brake down into smaller groups, so we would need group leaders.

10/11 -10/12 would work for me.

I'd like to do trails that don't do damage. I don't want to limp all the way back to Connecticut

I will be getting sliders in the next week or so.

I put in a vote for the 10/11-12th. I have a rear locker so I would be willing to try some of the harder trails. But, it has been so long since I had a chance to 'wheel the truck that I would be just as happy running the greens and blues if that is what the rest of the group was planning to do.

I don't know why more people aren't interested yet. Is this thread getting any exposure in this section on Yotatech?

Maybe the title of the tread doesn't peak people's interest b/c they don't know what Paragon is. Can the thread heading be changed to October East Coast trail ride in Paragon, PA or something like that?

I tried changing it, but it the change doesn't show up when you view the list of threads, only when you click into this thread. Is that something the mods can change?

count me in

where is paragon?

I live in Milford PA off I84 near the NY and NJ border.

I have an 03 4WD V8 4Runner. I would love to see its capabilities.

Paragon is in Hazelton, PA. The first weekend of every month they have a group ride where people can show up and get together with other people looking to run similar trails. You could go and hook up with some other stockers/rookies to get a feel for what your rig can do.

Just an idea, especially if you didn't want to wait till the 11-12th.

I'm interested in going up. I am trying to get a mini group of my own for the 18th.

However, 11th-12th works for me too -- I wouldn't be averse to joining another group a week early to get my feet wet.

I have a completely stock 91 rolling on 31X10.5s -- plus no trail experience AT ALL -- so I'd want to stick to greens.

If that will hold the group back, I'll sign up for the group ride on the 4th maybe.
