Oregon Yotatech 2nd Annual Meetup
#123
This sucks I work weekends. I've been wanting to check out Browns Camp. It would be great to hit it with some fellow Toyota guys. I think I might just have to be sick from work that weekend..lol. I'll just see if I can work some extra days and get those days off. I hope to see you all there.

I have Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday off. Anytime after the 10th works for me. that's when my kids get out of school for the summer. Hopefully I will have better tires soon and get my cruiser coils in so I can handle the trails better. but even stock I still wanna try out Browns Camp.

Alright guys, here we go again. Looking to plan the second yotatech meetup for Oregon (and surrounding areas). The first went great, lets make the second better. I think this time, we'll go for a multi-day event.
June 26-29, 2009: Browns Camp OHV Park

I had to schedule the weekend off for this run several months ago..I wish I only burned vacation 8 hours at a time

maybe we can go wheeling on a tuesday sometimes...
your 4Runner could do OK as is on many trails out there..

I'm kinda thinkin about heading up there on 6/24 and stay over night.
but I still need to work it out with the wife...I don't know how she will feel about me taking our 2 year old camping and 4 wheeling. I'm trying to get the wife into wheeling but I took her out last week and she hit her head on the door and that was it.
BTW where can I get one of the OHV passes?

The fastest way to that end of browns camp is thru the south fork prison camp road which is several miles PAST the big sign for "browns camp"

REMEMBERS: you HAVE to have an OR OHV permit!!! it is rumored that WA registered vehicles do not have to have it... however, they are $10.50 and good for 2 years..if you are caught WITHOUT one the fines is like 250 bucks and i've heard they are NOT quick to throw it out if you go to court. even my 81 2wd has one... its worth the 5.25 a year as a precaution. they can be picked up at the the big 76 station at North Plains, the Shell station on the left just before starting to climb the coast range, Glennwood general store, and at Lee's camp general store. you will need to know your vin number before walking into the store.
Guns are allowed and there is a nice shooting cory on Archers road (i can give directions if need be, but its pretty easy to stumble on to) with big enough for trap and i'd say a 50-75 yard range.
if anyone has any question please feel free to PM me and i will spill my brain even more about what i know about that side of browns. if there is going to be anyone with dirtbikes or quads, i know of the FUNNEST trail that is brand-spanking-new and worth the ride.
and as i've already mentioned, my weekends are booked until july, but i am free during the week if anyone wants to make a quick day run. i can show you were everything is.
