Official Colorado 4Runner Jamboree (CO4RJ) '04 Announcement
Okay, we've got the Colorado 4Runner Jamboree (CO4RJ) '04 information page set up. The dates are August 20-22. It describes how to sign up and pre-pay for the group tent site. Scott Yoder and I are the organizers this year because Jeff the Marmot is organizing the Moab gathering.

Is there going to be any kind of limit of overall participants or # of trucks on each individual trail? I can't register untill I meet the first requirement. All it takes is money!
Even if I have to ride along I plan to be there.
Finally Yoder can go on one of these deals! I haven't seen him in forever.

Of course I'm going to miss this since I'm MOVING!!!! Will definitely try to make the next one, even if it does take me three days to drive out there!

Is a spare an absolute must have? I find that it occupies way too much bed space and the 1" thick sidewalls I have have resisted any and all attempt at punctures
My plan is to show up Friday night but it may be Thursday if I'm unemployed at the time. Then run Wheeler and Chinamens

I'll be there Thursday night. Party by the fire.
Run Holy Cross Friday (never been there).
I'll lead Glacier Ridge Sat. I'll bring my whole family.
This trail is a combination trail. A beautiful trail ride above timberline with a rock garden section. Which goes up hill and is extremely fun. Sliders recommended. There is bypass people take, but I always thought it look illegal. You can see it in the picture. My old webshots album shows, MoJo, Sherpa and Sandman taking the bypass. Me, Matt (JX) and the land cruisers took the garden.

Sunday, I plan to run Chinaman's, providing I can work things out with my wife and kids. I might try to take my older girl with me. She 2 1\2 years old and is a handful. I'll have to wait and see how it goes. :pat:

Hello Everyone,
I'll be coming solo this year, arriving in BV earlier in the week to run about with some of my friends in the area. This event will be the perfect anedote for my homesickness and it'll be good to see old friends and make a few new ones as well.
Cheers,
Lee

Other than the rock garden, Glacier Ridge is pretty easy. It's very scenic, though. So is Wheeler. Scenery-wise, I'd call it a toss-up. In my opinion, Wheeler is generally a more difficult trail, and therefore more fun from a wheeling standpoint. And since you didn't do Wheeler last year, Adrian, my recommendation would be Wheeler.
I'll let Scott address the idea of keeping a running total of sign-ups.

I haven't been up Wheeler yet. I plan to pre-run it soon. I see Glacier as a nice alternative and fresh run for this event. Based on interest, it could simply replace the Taylor run. Since you guys did that last year. In terms of difficulty, anyone could run Glacier with the by-pass in place. I'll pre-run it if I can to verify the by-pass. I think the easier half of the group who haven't been there would absolutely love it.
We haven't picked all the leaders and gunners yet. Let us know what trails any of you are interested in leading or gunning.
I don't have enough people signed up yet to give a running total.

JadeRunner, I'd love to tag along if I can when you pre-run Wheeler lake. I don't know yet if I'll be able to attend the jambo but I'd like to meet some more of you guys from Colorado. Any idea when you might hit Wheeler?
