Each one is ok by me. Which res by the way? I am pretty unfamiliar with travel on Indian Land, what kind of permits will be required? I only ask because my buddy got busted for camping on Indian Land and they wanted to take my dog as collateral because he had no cash on him.

its the navajo reservation. no permits that i know of are required. just for fishing. if you all want to camp. ill think of a good place. but i was plannin on making this a one day thing. i dont mind camping though. i just got to think up a longer trail. haha.

one more thing. stock height might be a little hard to get through one area. im sure its possible though. its a little rock climb thats kinda steep. its fun. ill post a pic of it.

It's a little bit of a drive up there, so If you want to do a day ride thats cool, don't have to make any big changes on my account, but I will probably look for a spot to camp, I gotta get out of this heat.

Tough for stock huh? Got a tow strap? Pics would be cool. I have a lot of seat time, so unless you need dual lockers and 35's WTF I'll give it a go.

Filthy- My buddy ended up giving the tribal cop his jacket, bivi sack and stove. He looked on it as "insurance" that he would come back and pay the ticket. When he went to pay for the ticket he actually got his stuff back.

in regard to driving on reservation land: I have no experience on the Navajo Res, however I regularly travel on the San Carlon and White Mountain Apache lands and permits are required to access the land, if you have a fishing permit then that is your permit to travel there...but I know each has their own set of laws. Just something to think about...or look into

dlbrunner - i have this cable thing that could be use as a tow strap. use to have a chain but lost it. maybe steve s. will have somethin. he wanted to come up this way too. dual lockers and 35's? i wish i had that too. im sure its doable with no lockers. but the sand, its been really soft latley. so be ready for that if you're still comin.

the 30th looks good, One of my work buddies wanted to ride with me so I can only do a day trip, looks like an early morning followed by wheelin and a night drive back. No problem though, done it dozens of times before. I'm stoked, I have always wanted to cruise some of the back roads up there on the res, but after living in NV for 10+ years I am VERY cautious about going to a res with one car. Like filthy said about being old school out west, well that is too true, sometimes good, sometimes not...

Ahhh sand, my arch nemisis, thanks for the heads up, I'll pack accordingly.
I guess we can iron out all the who/where/what details in the next week.

I love tacos- the tow strap was my attempt at sarcasm, I can dig one up or my pops will have one for sure. I went on the box canyon run with Brian and SteveS, cool dudes, hope to see them again. Im stoked, this will be a two trip month for me! This is the first summer for a few years that I have been getting out a lot. Good for the soul.....

Filthy, It was not an honest move, he had no choice, it was jail or leave something of value, his camping stuff was all he had. just to clarify

We have a new guy at work, not my passenger who just got a Heap rubicon unlimited and put a mild lift and 33's on it, it looks pretty cool, but the dude is kind of strange and I really don't think he has much seat time. He said it was impossible to get a stock runner to the coke ovens, well I don't know which way he goes, but I got there and a couple of others too. I think there are some other really hard trails near there, thats what steve said.

well bring him along. haha j/k i dont know. ive always wanted to try that coke ovens route and box canyon. i almost went on a run there with steve and other people one time, but couldnt make it. my girlfriend wants a rubicon. i got her into 4wheelin and stuff. she just now got the hang of stick shift too. shes slowley gettin there. its cool.

this trip is gonna be cool. no one else here is into this stuff so i usually go exploring by myself with my gf. one of my friends use to have this 83 yota pickup and he use to follow me around. it was awesome. but the dude sold that truck and doesnt wheel no more. so its gonna be cool to wheel with some people for once up here.

AZ4ME - dude you gonna go?

Ya, I should be able to make it. Where more specifically are you talking about going anyways?

Duncan - If we are the only two leaving from Phoenix, let me know what time you want to leave and maybe we could caravan up together.

Brian, yeah a little convoy is great. So it's set for Sat the 30th of June. It looks like Tuba City is about 3 hrs from PHX. I would like to shoot to be in Tuba about 9-9:30AM, that leaves most of the day open for cruising around. Ugg, that means out of phoenix by 6AM or so. On the plus side it will be a little cooler pulling those hills up to Flag. I was thinking we could meet up at the Albertson's on carefree HWY and I-17 at 6-615ish. They have fuel, McD's, etc... last minute stuff.

I love Tacos how does this sound? 9-930ish in Tuba? I have never been there, so if you have a good meet point that is easy to find that would be cool.

I don't have a CB, but I did just get a little 2 mile 2 way radio, so if either of you guys have them, I'd like to try my new toy out!!

I guess I am going to have to treat Friday like a school night, get to bed early!
