I just wanted to check and make sure that a stock 4runner with the e-locker should be able to make it through these trails, right?

a stock runner with an e locker could probably do alot more than a rig that has a lift and big tires with open diffs.

True to that! I just don't want to tear up my new '97 right after I get it. It's not setup for the trail yet.

Thanks for the info, tystoy. I'd much rather here it from you that these roads are definitely open, than someone saying, "Yeah, I think they are still open."

Anyhow, I would prefer a Saturday ride-- but since several others want to go on Sunday and I'm not even positive if I'll be able to go, the date should be up to you as the coordinator with respect to everyone else who CAN go.

I'll keep an eye on this thread just in case anything changes.

i may be in, if things work out i should have my lift and new tires on by then. Or possible a new truck, i test drove an 2001 double cab 4x4 with trd (rear locker!!) today. If i can sell both my 4runners i may convert to the taco, but probably not. by the way, i am in canton so it shouldn't be too far for me.

Ok- the ride is going to be on sunday, July 20. There is a BP staion at the intersection of I-75 and Hwy 113(should be about exit 293 or so) we will be leaving that location between 10:30 and 11:00 am.

Both of the trucks I will be taking are stock as you can get and we do pretty good out there. So I know everybody will have fun. There is places that none of us will be able to go and places that all of us will, so like I said it will be fun.

Man, I have to say that I'm really pumped. I haven't gone off-roading in a big group in years. Count me in for sure! I was thinking about camping the night before, but I guess I'll be driving down that morning. It may be in my new 1997 Green 4Runner or it may be in a 1985 Toyote Pickup, depending on if I buy it or not.

I can't wait!

Chris

P.S. I'll have a video camera and it can digital images, but they aren't good for printing. They're okay for the web, though. Let's rock!

I'm just going to head down that morning, but it's probably right about all the bikes going by. I always wear ear plugs camping for that very reason, among all the other noises in the woods.

Here's a quote from the guy that started this trip:

Ok- the ride is going to be on sunday, July 20. There is a BP staion at the intersection of I-75 and Hwy 113(should be about exit 293 or so) we will be leaving that location between 10:30 and 11:00 am.
