Hey Austin,
Sounds like a lot of fun! I am 99% sure I could make it up for the Auburn date, and look forward to meeting other members. If you are interested, there are a few really nice wheeling parks about 1/2 hour West of Portland, Or. (Brown's camp, Trask, etc.) I am sure there are several members in this area that would be very interested if you swung this way. I could try and help arrange something. Either way, I will try and make the Auburn date, and will definately buy a dvd. Great idea!!!
with your bad self!

Stay tuned,
I will be updating the itinerary shortly. I will also be starting different threads for each individual stop. That way this thread doesn't have 5 conversations going on at once.
Thank you for your patience!

I'll look in the book and see if there is anything good up north. If all else fails a Baja Race through DeSoto might be fun. Although we're going there on June 10.
I'll find something good and hard.

Well if you want a real show, how about rolling 1.5 hours south on the I-17 and We'll run Lower Terminator?
The upside is it would be a heck of a show, the down side would be I don't think alot of the local guys are ready to try it yet.
Broken Arrow, Soldiers Pass, Smiley Face are all up there but not very hard. I saw what he was doing in Tellico and I think he wants a show.

Don't know if you have time when you swing through Colorado but you might want to swing by and see Mike at Offroadsolutions... he tweaks my rig and his work has been featured in many of the 4x4 rags...His rig is outrageous...

He's expecting a kid so I'm not sure he'll make COJAM

The primary camera will be a Sony VX-2100 (the exact camera is pictured on the first page in the logo thing I made...) and I have two smaller single CCD handycams that will be doing the grunt work or shots that could easily result in dammage. I will have polarizers on the two primary cameras and a waterproof casing for the smaller of the handycam. The third camera will primarily serve as a vcr for a lipstick/bullet camera that will be able to be mounted pretty much anwayere.
I am in the process of developing/building a few mounts that will be as changeable as possible. One will be a clamp/suction cup mount but due to the dirty conditions the suction-cups will be scarcely used. I have found a couple headrest clamp style mounts that I like, and will probably just purchase that one. I am also trying to come up with some moveable hitch mount that will be able to get high up and possibly be able to get images like you see on the BMWFilms M5 movie.
If there is anybody that has a front mount hitch that could prove to be VERY cool
A buddy of mine is super into post production and always has all the newest toys in the software department so it will be interesting what we will be able to come up with. I'm excited none the less!
If you have any other questions let me know! Also, I didn't get your email, check your PMs for my address...

If you want a preview of what the camera can do check out this trailer my buddy made for a video he directed/shot/edited. I purchased the camera from him about 2 months ago and have been quite happy with it so far but haven't gotten a TON of time behind it yet so I can't wait to really play with it.
