Heading to the Middle Atlantic States....

Hey, my daughter and I will be heading to Eastern PA and hitting MD and the DC area July 1st-9th...

We'd like to do some wheeling and camping in that time frame....

Anyone got suggestions or want to meet up?

thanks!

George Washington National Forest. Also look at Shennandoah National Park, they're next to each other in NW VA.

Man, you're coming thru Columbus and I live 4 miles from 70. If you want, we can hook up for a pit stop and you can meet the crew.

Hell, you can even lay over if you want, cook out or whatever.

Let me know.

The only ones in Pa are paragon and rouche creek ... gwnf is far and there isn't much to do. It's cool for locals since it's close and something is better then nothing.

paragon is a must though

Here is a link to some ORV spots in MD, the western parks are very accessible for a trip from PA to DC. They are located off of I-68 which runs from Wheeling,WV to Hanncock, MD (where it meats with I-70 again). You need to purchase a sticker $15 but it is good for all of the areas plus most of them allow camping (first come first served). All of the areas except for Pocomoke River State Forest are located in Western MD. Wave when you drive by Smithsburg, MD (off of I-70) on your way to DC.

If you were gonna be around a few weeks earlier or a few weeks later you could go to Rausch Creek for the East Coast 4Runner Jamboree, or to Paragon for the TTORA Takeover. They are June 17-19 and July 29?-? (whatever the last weekend in July is).

If you need a pit stop on the way, I'm 5 miles from 70 also. Just east of Hagerstown, MD about 1.5 hrs from DC.

If you show up without a group they put you in one. You also need to show up early since at least one person in your group needs to attend a safety video (20 min). Also if you need a group leader, they can provide a guide for a fee .. it's all on their website. Build up your rig, and hit some black 1's .. it's awesome
