Good point, and well supported. I don't know how much I was getting, I'm guessing around 19" or so. But, when I did have coils, I know I bent the rear sway bar when I left it connected. However, disconnecting it was a PITA as well, having the ends clank around on the frame. Now that I have springs, I no longer have the rear sway bar, nor mounting points for it on the rear axle. The stock 4Runner sway bar is not going to work anymore, as I have just way too much flex. I'm thinking about putting one of those anti-rock sway bars on.

I currently have my rear swaybar connected, until I re-work the geometry, then I'll add disconnects. with OME's there is no reasons to remove it, but once I get mad flex out of the rear the bar must go since it is stretched to the max now.

Here's a few shots of my rig fully flexed out;
Actually I had about an 1/8" before hitting the bumpstops, but there was no tire rub on the passenger front wheel.
Afterwards, I simply drove straight ahead and out of the ditch. I had the pleasure of meeting "Jeff the marmot" today and took him wheelin with the TTORA group through the Miller Jeep Trail. We finally ended up in Hungry Valley where we did a bit of rock crawlin up the practice course. Later on I used my winch to move a few boulder back onto the trail that had been rolled out of place.

For what it's worth here are some poser 2WD shots:

Also, I finally got a 4WD truck. Here is a flex shot from when it was new:

It is a lot cheaper and easier to maintain/fix/clean this truck than a 4Runner:
As always opinions welcome.

Here I am flexed out.
Am I missing something? My runner doesn't seem as flexed as some other 2nd gens I have seen. What am I missing? I have no rear swaybar, low bumpstops in the front, OME shocks and coils... is there something I don't know about?

[QUOTE=runnerboy97]heres me last night, almost flexed out, but damn good for having the sway bar still connected, [QUOTE]
I am missing something. From looking at that pic, WHY are you saying that it's a good thing that you had your sway bar connected? Your left front tire's way off the ground. I don't understand...

I think you're reading it wrong
He's saying it flexes well considering the swaybar is still on.

I'll have some new flex shots shortly. My rear springs are coming in Friday. 56" springs with 7" lift, Orbit Eyes on both ends. The rear end flex has always been my limiting factor. I have 3" of droop left in my shocks when I disconnect them.
My Allpro springs are too weak now for a heavy 4runner. They'd probably be just about right for a pickup.
