COLORADO - Trail Test Drive the Sonoran Steel Dana44 Equipped 4Runner: June 16-18, 06
I will be heading up to Denver to see some of my people. Here are the plans, if you would like to stop by or attend the run and test drive a Straight Axle 3rd Gen 4Runner on the Saturday run, you are more than welcome to.
Friday: June 16, 2006: Happy Hour somewhere in Denver
Saturday: June 17, 2006: Trail Run on one or more of the following trails:
-Crystal Mountain
-Moody Hill
-Bill Moore Lake
-Red Elephant
This is easy stuff so if you want to test drive a SAS'd 3rd Gen you can try my 4Runner out. Only a few rules to lay down on that.
1. When you drive my 4Runner, we'll be trading trucks, I'll be driving YOUR 4Runner. If you take my truck through something, more than likely I'll take yours though the same thing. So don't take mine, where you don't want me to take yours. No truck to trade, no test drive.
2. This is not an attempt to sell SAS's. I' almost 40 years old and have done two. If I never do another one as long as I live, that is fine with me, it is a huge amount of work and alot of wear and tear on your body. I also will not SAS a truck that is not local. I remember a shop owner having to drive to Wisconsin to drag a rig back to Denver. Something I am truly not interested it. So unless you live in Arizona, I am not an option for an SAS. Test drive the truck and see what it is all about. That's all.

I'm not coming, you can't make me.
Guess I should have my truck done. Can I trade boots for seat time?
Social time Friday will be low key, as will the wheeling. Make an effort to attend one or all.
Schaefer is really a good time, this should be a hoot.

I'm going to follow Steve up on Friday for the social time. I don't think the wife will be wheeling with us on Saturday so I may just find a hotel room somewhere to crash for the night. That way I don't have to drive from Woodland Park the next morning.

If you do Moody Hill it would make sense to just stay at our pad on Saturday night (being you have volunteered our boat for Sunday!!!). To get to the trail from D-town you almost drive right past the house. All are welcome to swing by the house after the trail for brews/camp fire/etc. I talked to Hedda last night and all is cool.
Three rules for the boating on Sunday:
1. Must be willing to drink beer on a boat.
2. Must let me pull you on the tube behind the boat.
3. Steve must wear a two piece bathing suit (pink is preferred).
Another stop on the Sonoran Steel Summer Tour.
