I was gonna take the jeep this trip, but I'll stick with the truck this time. But I did get some rims for the jeep and will be putting on some 33's in the next couple weeks with a couple inches of lift and some trimming.

Now I think i'll do the lift on the jeep myself as the kit is about $600 and shops want like $400 to put it on. Nuts.
Dave! I'm still waiting to install the OME/ToyTec lift kit. I've got a set of new KYB monomax shocks on the way...free, I might add... Then I'm toying (no pun intended) with the idea of a body lift, then thinking about having some front and rear bumpers fabricated. I thought I'd go with AllPhase in Longmont, but I got a buddy in Colorado Springs so Armorology is another option. I'll help with your Jeep lift anytime. Let me know. Ever done a body lift before Dave?

It might be a busy day up there. Just noticed that Colorado4x4.org has a trip planned on sunday to moody hill. They are meeting up there at 11 am, so we shouldn't have a problem.

Never done one but I'd be willing to give ya a hand, and even on the front suspension stuff. I am gonna order the lift maybe tomorrow or monday, tires monday or tuesday on the rims, and see when I can do this stuff. I've got a compressor and tank and need to get a few different air tools. Otherwise, got most of the stuff I need.

If you do a body lift, how big of one would you get? What about tires? 33's? etc.

catch ya tomorrow.

2" RB body lift. I wouldn't need bumper relocator brackets because I'm having new bumpers fabbed, but it would take a steering extension and radiator drop. Appears to be an easy job, and the whole kit is less than $200. RB has a very thorough install instructional on 4Crawler.com. Let's give it a try! Eventually, I'd be happy with 33's.
