Hmmmm. I guess I'll have to see what I can do.
Any guesses on how long it might take to do the ironclad loop? If I can't figure out another plan, I could try and get in and out by 1:00ish so I'm back in Louisville by 2:00. I hate to rush tho.
If not, I'll see you guys next time.

Isaac- your gonna be out of town right? We'll catch up with you soon.

Well, POOP. I'm thinking of changing this to sunday - my starter has been acting up and even more so the last 2 days so I might use saturday to redo starter contacts. Would changing this to a sunday june 10th run really foul anyone up? Especially you Brian (Crux)?

Well, I'm making it official - I'm changing the run to SUNDAY the 10th
Sorry for the inconvenience to anyone - but I don't like the idea of heading to the hills with a known problem with my truck. So, same info just a different day....
Details:
Date: Sunday, June 10th <<-- Note the Change to Sunday the 10th
Time: Meet at 120th & I-25 ( go east on 120th - 1st light - take a left into at the diamond shamrock / dicount tire store) at 8:45 - leave by 9:00
or meet at trailhead - at the Nort entrance to Bunce School Road (at the old school house) at around 10 am
Trails: Ironclads to start and then if we are all still up for it (kids mainly) we'll hit Miller Rock.
Misc: CB channel 4 - bring lunch, camera, and whatever else you and your little one might need.

Ok, for those wanting to meet at the trailhead, Let's meet at the North entrance of bunce school road at the old school house. (we have to run some of Bunce School to get to Ironclads trail)
Directions: Coming from the north, take Highway 7 south through Allenspark. Before you get to the turn for Highway 72 you will see a sign for a "point of interest" -- a brown sign with arrows. This point of interest is the Bunce School where the trail starts.
There are maps to bunce school and info here: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=123

I have not been in this area. It sounds fun. Still not sure I can go though. What time you would you expect to be off the trail?
I assume I could be carful and not damage my gas tank. I would still have my stock gas tank skid on and would not want to dame the new tank I just had Oleg put on. It's my 3rd one and I'm lovin having 18.5 gallons of gas again.

I expect to be home in Thornton by about 5. But i know others have to bail early too - maybe after the 1st trail right after lunch.

Glad you got your rig ready John. Your right about the 5pm time, that's usually a reality with most runs. Sorry, but I just won't be able to make it with the kids and the recitle and all going on. Have a great time.

Full report please! I should have gone. Made $27 selling crap at the swap meet and it cost me $25 to get down there and home. Good news is the over heating on the truck made me spend more money to fix it...i think

Thanks to everyone for showing up!!! We had 11 or 12 rigs - 4 of which were FJ Cruisers. Lot's of people brought there kids so it turned out good for a Lil Tot's Run. We only ended up running Ironclads as it took a little longer than anticipated and by about 3:00 when we were back down most of the kids (and parents) were ready to head home. I only took a couple of pics - not even of any trucks so it's not worth a new trip report thread unless someone else has some pics to share.
All in all it was a fun time - cleared some of my wheeling cobwebs out, met some new folks and caught up with some old friends.
