I'm out. I just got back from a weekend wheeling trip and two weekends in a row would be too much.

I got back from Red and Coyote Lake last night, it was the perfect time to be there. We had the lake and trail to ourselves most of the time and the weather was awsome. Red lake was really fun to run, stockers can make it thru with some possible body damage and differential scaping. Coyote was much more difficult. The Gatekeeper alone is worth the trip up . I have 35's on a older yota and had to pick my lines carefully.. I took some pics but nothing too spectacular, I'll post some when I get home from work..

We can always catch up on a future trip. My next planned trip is Death Valley.

If you're taking sign-ups, I'm in!

I'm thinking seriously of taking a week in late feb or early march to head down there.
ya, ya, off topic and all. Sorry.

Lets do this one first
Feb/march sounds good for Death Valley, fortunately you talked me out of the July/aug idea

I send you a PM about camping for this weekend.

Chicken

Winter is coming so wheeling will have to be down south for the next 5-6 months , apart from some day trips where it doesn't snow too much here north. So you can run but you can't hide

just to make things exciting, most of those forest service campsites are closed for the season.

I'm waffling between winging it, rsvp'ing an RV slot at lakeshore and sleeping in the truck($30/night), or rsvp'ing a cabin ($85/night)

I'll share any further data I get...

"Cheap" cabins at lakeshore are gone, so I guess I'm a-goin' for "wingin' it"!

Just for public clarification, the current plan is to meet at Lakeshore Resort at Huntington Lake at 10:00am on Saturday, ears on 4 and 4, right?

I'm going to try and be in the neighborhood somewhere around 5pm on friday.

Logistics

OK guys so here are the logistics:
-Saturday 2 Oct at 10 am at the Lakeshore Resort. We can discuss meeting Sunday during Saturday.
-CB and FRS both channel 4
Attending:
-Scottiac aka Scott (Green?? 3rd Gen with TJM bumper, lift, etc)
-SKyrat aka George (rig desc????)
-Bulldog aka Andries (Silver 4th Gen, looks stock)

-I've got a cabin, so if needs be you can borrow the shower (we dont want to scare the wildlife by Sunday )
-I'll bring a small portable gas grill and some meat for a BBQ for Saturday night, please bring some extra meat and if somebody can bring a extra pair of chairs and table that would be great (I haven't managed to get mine back yet )
-You will have to supply your own food and water for the stay, there are shop around so no biggie
-We will do Bald Mountain and some othe trails in the area on Saturday. For Sunday we can decide on Saturday which ones we want to try. I have a couple listed so we can review.

Hope that is all.

PS: I'll be there Friday afternoon as well, not sure how late yet but probably before 5PM.

Well, that's "Scott Greene", with an Anthracite (dirty brown at the moment) 3rd gen, but close enough! No lift, (*sniff*) so be gentle with me...

I like to think of it as "armored stock"...

I'll bring a few extra chairs, and maybe a table of sorts.

I have a White 2000 4Runner LTD a Yotatech Sticker in the rear Drivers Side Window and all the junk in the signature. My daughter and I will be trying to get a spot near the Resort somewhere. Pulling in late (perhaps 3am) Friday Night.

I might be able to bring a small table as well as 2 chairs.
Andries has my cell and I will be on CB Channel 4

Look forward to seeing you Sat Morn at the resort

Well you still have more clearance than I do, I still have running boards till I get my sliders. So mine will be the

If I can train my dog to pull like Scofco's I might have a winch , but that wont happen soon.

Thanks to you too!
You were very generous in supplying such a wonderful meal Saturday Eve.
I had a great time and enjoyed the company of all. It was a pretty nice spot to wheel too. I hope to get some shots up soon too.

BTW, do you have any pics of the "tool shed?"

It's a pleasure!

It will be good to get some pics up, I think we both are a bit busy at the moment.

I dont have any pics of the "tool shed" on my digital, but I think we will have some on the 35mm. SO it will be a while before I can post them.

Sorry I missed this guys. My company just rolled out all new product messaging and they laid the new presentation on me days before I learned it would be me presenting to our largest NA disti. Nice........... Needless to say, it had to be tuned and memorized, consuming most of my weekend..... Perhaps I'll make the next one. Death Valley sound like fun. It's been a while.
