Hey thanks for the info Mark. I just got back from camping this past weekend up at blue ridge resevoir (sp?) And my friends and I didn't know if there was a fire restriction or not.

Are you a fire fighter? My friend is one of those emergency fire fighters for the cave creek district. He just finished his pack test yesterday.

I just want folks to be prepared for what's shaping up to be a terrible fire season. We have way over 100,000 standing dead trees in the Prescott National Forest- killed last year by Pine Bark Beatles, and just enough of a wet spring to get a good growth of grass and weeds. At last count, over 80% of the pines are dead between Prescott and Crown King-- a fire will be unreal in those conditions.

I was out driving a local trail around 10pm last night, and I noticed at least one visable camp fire somewhere off the trail:pat: , there are even signs at the enterance saying no campfires. I hope we get a wet monsoon this summer.
