BLM was out Saturday the 20th at Annihilator..........mostly due to the Classic EB club run on Table Mesa this weekend.

Annihilator is closed for use until further notice. It is not on the BLM "list" of approved trails. It is listed on the upcoming revised plan, but until that is complete, they will be enforcing the closure. At this time, they are not issuing tickets, just getting the word out. The ranger was not confrontational, and we had a good discusion with him on the subject.

The major concern the ranger had was the recent damage done by rigs not up to running Annihilator and spilling large amounts of vehicle fluids w/ no clean up being done.

The attached pic is of Annihilator- it was one of our premier 5 rated trails.

I guess it's time I join an "official" club instead of web based groups. We are going to have to police our own ranks, report the misuse/abuse, and generally do more than we already do. I personally make an effort to clean up on every trail run, but I'll have to do more. Guess it's time to really clean up the truck, fix the minor leaks, etc.

don't know for sure about that, but the trail does traverse private property. I'd be real surprised if it stays open.....
