Nice pic Greg! Sorry I couldn't make it this time. My wife is actually looking forward to the next trip (hopefully in the fall).
Scott, I will go with you up slickrock on the next trip. You can make it, just be wary of body damage.

Once again, great pics guys!

I’m still not locked or slider-ed so I rode with the trail leader in a Jeep, yes I said Jeep. Jay (the Jeep owner’s name) and his wife (can’t remember her name) where the nicest people I’ve ever meet.

It’s official I’m going to the dark side and giving up on the IFS and moving on. After watching this weekend and driving Marc’s 85 on the road and on the rock garden I’ve just got to get my SAS on the roll.

I’m going to pick up my axle this week and I’m ordering the axle rebuild kit this week too. I’ll probably order the SAS kit in a couple of weeks from ether All-Pro or Marlin (still trying to decide, I’ll prob. go with All-Pro, they're very nice).

I’d like to have it and my exo-cage finished by the fall trip. I’m not going to rush the SAS and plain to just take my time and do it right so we’ll see what happens.

Enough about that. I’ll make a new thread when the times right with the complete build and cost.

It was a blast.

We didn’t go to SlickRock but from what everyone said it turned into a traffic night mare there. Everyone wanted to go up SlickRock.

Did someone say "exo cage"? I picked up a Lincoln welder this evening w/ that in mind...

MIG, flux core, cart, new helmet...all the goodies to build some crap now...

Looks like it was a fun trip...

Had a blast this weekend...lots of buggies and chopped up pickups...and lots of solid axle toys. Had a close call on guardrail, romped helicopter pad and slithered down schoolbus. Oh and almost forgot....thanks to Greg for the NEW 37" MTR's! Cant wait to see the video's.

Yeah that was a nice paralel park at the top of Guardrail and the smoothest run I've seen up The Pad. How did the rest of the run go after Helicopter pad? I was driving the Tacoma that broke the front pinion in half. It was a fun trip out in 2wd. I had a blast on Guardrail though.

Glade to see you made it out ok in 2wd. We had a little traffic on School Bus but other than that it wasn’t to bad for everyone.

I’m Greg one of the guys that helped you back down guardrail. The spotter guy.

thanks...you had one of the best runs up guardrail for sure....everyone else was sittin and spinning. Coming down the top part of school bus was quite technical.. trying to keep it rubber side down.. very tight and rutted..made for alot of 3wheel opportunities and one 1 wheel nose stand. The bottom section wasnt as bad just steep with ledges.

Did you find a pinion? Didnt see ya the rest of the weekend? Had a blast wheeling with ya.

Yeah I ended up leaving after I got off the trails. The pinion's splines rolled in the Toy to D44 flange and ruined it, so even if I got a pinion I could not get a flange. I appreaciate all yall's help. That was some good spotting going down guardrail.

I bet that was pretty hairy going down Guardrail!

I'm Brett, I was the one getting the video of everyone. I am editing the video now.

How is the clearance on the 37s? I'm trimming and tubbing the front/rear fenders this weekend for larger meats...and was wondering just how BIG I should go!

I did a little grinding and some pounding and they fit without to much fuss. Marc still needs to do a little more cutting to make them fit perfect. They still rubbed a little on the trials.

I think the 37 mtr’s look really good on a first gen.

Well, I'm tubbing my rear fenders a good 3" and cutting the fronts up to the "OEM" lines at least and running the cut out just under the corner light...and taking out the floor panel there in the firewall where the stock fusebox is...so I should have the room for AT LEAST 37s.

Awesome pics guys...wish I coulda been there.

There is a Gray Rock run in Oct on Ih8mud and Toyotas are invited...but you'd better have at least 35s and a rear locker cause I hear Gray Rock is pretty tuff...I'm planning on going since it is only 45 minutes from my house and I have friends in Gardendale which is like 5 minutes away from Gray Rock.

I’ve got the 35’s sitting at Marc’s. I’ll probably try and go there if I’m not still knee deep in doing my SAS.

EDIT: I thought you said Aug. I’d hope I’m finished by Oct.
