Greg, it looks like we are gonna be the Toyota wheeling trio again. We need to pick up a full time camera person though!
I've got a friend that wants to come up and watch so he can be our camera man.

We can call ourselves the 3 Yotateers.

I got my bumper today and I’ve got a salvage yard in TN checking the gear ratio on an e-locker. I’m going to pick up some steel to make my sliders tomorrow or Friday so I should be ready for slickrock and some of the other harder trails.

I found a 4.56 e-locker in CA but they wanted to sell the full axle housing and e-locker. Shipping was insane like $300+ to ship so I said forget that one.

Tell your friend to come on. If Brandy doesn't come, then my brother might come out with us again. Get the sliders! If you have a locker then I guess I'll be forced into Slickrock! Unless it's wet, then forget it-I'll just watch.

The 3 Yotateers we will be!

Don't count me out yet - there may just be a fourth - ok 5 - Leon would have to come. My schedule has been un-real since Tellico - I need the break !
I don't have a spot reserved - any room ? I ain't doing slickrock.

I have a spot reserved. Marc and Greg will be camping in tents on my site, unless Brandy doesn't come, then Marc has called shotgun in the camper. If Crawford will allow 3 tents on my site, then I'm game if it will fit-the new camper is big you know.

Doc,

Did you get your cruiser coils and ball joint spacers on yet? If you don’t plain to do the lift for a couple of months I’ll sell you mine.

I think I’m going to put my SAS in overdrive. I’ve already started looking for the axle. I have an 83 I can get from a friend but I really want an 84 or 85.

You gotta come down so we can have a couple of cold ones.

If I can get a defiant from someone else I’ll reserve a site so that we won’t have to worry about running out of room. I figure we could fit 4-5 tents on a site were there’s just tents, don’t you think.

When you get ready - the coils and spacers will be mine ! I am in no hurry
so take your time and when your ready - I'll take the parts.

I am actually looking for a trail rig but plan on buying at my price. I would like to find a solid axle truck that I can remove the bed - chop the fenders and do the half door thing to - and get it on big tires. I'll do it eventually ! my 4 runner is capable but it also serves several other purposes for me - It still looks decent too.

I'll know more about whether I'm coming or not next week. I am on vacation that whole week but my wife is also off. she may have plans for me that I
have not been enlightened with.

I'm still a maybe - I am on vacation next week and we have no definate plans
My wife is off the same week - we have briefly talked about this trip but nothing definate. I live close enough to just show up. I'll know more
after this weekend. I wheeled all day last Saturday on the Cumberland Platueau - got stuck real bad in a DEEP mud hole - took three jeeps hooked together to winch me out - what a blast ! Other than the deep
mud hole ( I went first ) the jeep boy's were impressed with my 4 runner's capability.

Don’t worry I’ve got good news. I just saved a bunch of money by switching to geico. Not really I just all was wanted to say that.

But really I might be coming up with a Taco. I’m going to look at 2 tomorrow and probably bring both home. One is totaled with a good running low mileage motor and the other is in very good condition but does not have a running motor. There both extra cabs and 5 speeds.

The totaled one my not be that bad, the insurance company totaled it so I’m thinking it might have a fudged front end. Like broken a-arms or something.

We’ll see tomorrow.

Hey Doc,

I need you to come up so I can see how you retro fitted the under tire carrier on your rig. I’ve got a guy that said he’ll trade me his tailgate tire carrier if I’ll retro fit a tire carrier under his truck.

Where the holes already there or did you just have to figure out where to put them?
