apples to oranges (im assuming the detroit was the 400-500$ version) the aussie is a lunchbox (meaning it replaces only the spider and side gears and retains your carrier) the "Detroit locker" is a full carrier replacement, making it much stronger and will reduce carrier deflection making the ring and pinion much happier.

Now apples to apples would be the aussie vs the lockrite vs the detroit ez-locker. those are all "lunchbox lockers" and are around 200-250$. They are plenty strong up to a point. I have been running lockrites front and back for a few years and before that I was running a detroit ez-locker, Ive never had a problem with any of them. I never ran the aussie cause they never came out with a locker for the v-6 3rd (as of a couple years ago).

Bottom line: buy it, it is the single greatest gain modification you can do!

Little Update

So far things are going well, and turn out looks to be very good! Gas prices hurt turn out last year (35 rigs vs 65 rigs in 2007).

NWITaco is working to get a t-shirt designed and printed (screen print I believe). If you are interested PLEASE post up. I need to see if this will be worth while. Right now im thinking 10-15$/shirt.

I'd like to see what it will look like before I commit but you can count me in!

not a crawler

Hey I'd love to make the trip from Lafayette, IN for this but my ride is just a stock rider so I'm not doing any crawling. Is there a discounted price if we're just planning to show up and hang out??

If your not going to wheel then I guess you would just pay the passenger fee ($5/day). Camping is still $7/night. You wont get a free raffle ticket but you can still buy as many as you want. If you do end up wheeling, just go pay the man and have a blast. There is plenty of stocker trails, especially if it is somewhat dry.

NITO, There is all kinds of fun to be had in a stock truck. It is really a good chance to come out and find out what your truck is capable of in a safe and guided way. You will probably be surprised to see what you can do.
Hope you make it out.

Little update.

Im not sure but it looks like there wont be much of a raffle. Since there are really no sponsers, there are no really big prizes. If there ends up being a swag type raffle with things like t-shirts, mugs, stickers, etc....from the cliffs or anyone else that comes then Ill throw in a few CTJ shirts (provided I can get some made, the guy that was working on it fell through). But right now I have no idea what to expect.

Other than that. Should be a great weekend!!

Ok, guys I need a QUICK "go" "no go" on the t-shirt design!

Here is what Ive got. The colors will be charcoal, dusk blue, military green, and black. The front will have centered text in white saying something like "Chicago Toyota Jamboree.....2009.....www.chicagotoyotajambo.com.....(maybe information about the Cliffs) Also there will be a tire tread (either Bogger, TSL, or if I can get it Rocker) starting on the front and rolling over the left shoulder onto the and across the back. On the back I will have "CTJ '09" in large letters up high on the shirt across the shoulders. Based on my quote Im thinking $15/shirt. The sizes will be sm, med, L, XL, XXL. Sorry Vicky no go on the jersey/longsleeve, these will all be t-shirts. And the fabric is "heavy" (It feels very high quality!!!)

So lets hear it Yeah or Neah!!! If I dont hear anything I will assume you are fine with it.

Oh and im thinking about a run of 40-50 and if I run out I will take orders and mail them to you.

Little Update.

It looks like there may be a raffle. but it wont be a big deal. Right now it just looks like the usual stuff; straps, t-shirts, stickers, day passes, and I will 50/50 the raffle pot. If the raffle flops I will just skip it. No big deal.

If someone wants to throw stuff in the raffle let me know ASAP and will throw your company logo on the back on of the t-shirt (of which I have about 43 pre-orders). But Ill be finalizing the design today or tomorow so make it snappy. :grinpimp:

Nice design with the shirt!! I will take 2 for sure XL and M in charcoal if you want to know now.

By the way...I am a little more prepared this year and hopefully you guys won't have to be yanking me out of big ruts and off tree trunks on trail 10.

bout a week out, if you are camping let me know, and let me know what nights you plan to camp. I need to make sure the camp grounds are large enough.
