Buying & Selling Advice - Feeler/Gauging InterestThis general forum is for those seeking information about buying, model features/differences, pricing to sell, and related advice
After years of being too busy to give the Yota the time it deserves I have started contemplating selling it as I cant seem to find the time to bring it back to life. The problem is that I have no idea what its worth. Heres the good:
2002 4Runner V6 4WD, Old Man Emu 2.5" lift, 285/75/16 Nitto Terragrapplers on TRD Ivan Stewart Wheels, regeared to 4:56 or 4.10 (will have to double check as its been years), ARB air locker in the rear, ARB Bull Bar with Warn 9.5xp winch, Safari Snorkel, in dash navigation/dvd player, leather. NOMAD skid plates (everywhere except gas tank) rock sliders, and more that I cant think of at the moment.
The bad:
Paint is starting to fade on the roof and hood, ran when parked and has been kept garaged some of its life. Spun the rear driveshaft out, no biggie, just havent had the time to go pull one off a wreck. Havent driven it in atleast a couple years, will need all new fluids at the least. Tires are shot, will need a new set. Interior is not bad, the limo tint has protected it. It does have somewhere around 180k miles, but it always was maintained until the last time i turned it off.
So guys, give me your best guess as to what I can sell it for.\
(sorry mods if this is in the wrong place, been awhile since I've been here)
Laid up more than two years??? Non-running cars and trucks are worth about ten cents a pound.
If your machine was in fair running order with absolutely no rust issues, it might bring 5 thousand here in the southwest. A little more if it was a lighter color.

"spun the driveshaft out" how did you do this? blow the pinion or failure to make sure the 4 bolts at one end were tight? Depending on why the d/s was 'spun' your rear ARB might just be a paperweight now.
was it parked because the the rear driveshaft issue?
hate to say it but I would say $2k tops based your limited description and lack of pictures..it's missing a center cap and fender flare. No mention of auto or stick or when the big stuff like a timing belt was replaced or rust, which is what I think of when i think of florida
i would put a few hours into it to get a better idea of what it might take...
if it's just fluids and a rear driveshaft like you say it would be worth if busting out a couple of 14mm (or whatever) size wrenches, the effort of crawling under another 3rd gen and undoing 8 bolts. it would have the potential of netting you a few more benjamins
