The rear looks a little saggy? and honestly
if you want it and think its a good buy do it.
But you can find one for half the price with a scratch or two.
Its a truck!
and lets face it. people are proud of their toyota's.
And noone sells anything for blue book. i've never once
seen a tacoma for a fair price.

Sounds a little high for what it is and the miles sound way too low given the age of the vehicle, though there are some low mile sunday driven examples out there.
Check the VIN with toyota they should be able to give you some of the history of the truck ie where it was originally sold, what dealers have been maintaining it, outstanding recalls and so on...

On one hand, you can buy an ugly truck, work on it a bunch and eventually have that much in it! I imagine a lot of people here do.

But, if you want a daily driver, i'd want smaller tires. And a taco with 50? more hp for basically free.

I recently ran into a deal that was similar. Low miles and a new motor and whatnot. There are things that just don't sell. I think the trucks like the one you're looking at are cool because they're cheap. Resale $$ would stink, at least where I'm at.

I hear you guys on the +book price. I lot of people think they're car dealers around here. I don't even know how to approach them.

One thing to consider on that truck. That paint is pretty. Every piece of rubber in it is probably still old.

I paid $7,000 for my 89. It was exactly what I wanted, and I'd do it again in a second. Guy could of charged $10,000, and I would of agreed that I got ripped off, but still would of been happy.

I agree to check carfax. Pay a 4wd shop $80 for an inspection. Find out how many owners.

My opinion...3rd gen pickup, 1-2 owner, low miles = priceless.

Sounds like you want it. If everything checks out, I say go for it and don't look back!
