What do you guys of this the body looks ok it has a few dents but no rust. it used to be a 22re, they said its a toyota 5spd hopefully its r151 and not a w or g. if I did buy I would probaly swap in a 5.3.

 

I'd have to see detailed pics of the interior, exterior, undercarriage, motor, etc...

A 350 sounds awfully heavy for the front suspension of an 88 4R to support.

 

Now, why would it be a r151? You mentiond it had a 22re; so, w56b.

Why would you buy a built truck and swap in another engine.

Pictures would be a must to me for that money it would have to be in excellent mechanical condition and the swap a thing of beauty .

 

350=350, 5.3=323 cubic inch..not even a 327...yeah I have that engine in my Tahoe..why go smaller or even waste the time to swap an 8 for an 8??? and the motor is brand new...

2WD low? mine goes in low (and low low) in 4WD not just 2WD

R151 would have been behind a 22RTE--those were 86 & 87

looking at the pics, the truck would be worth checking out, thoroughly, price is not bad.
I would just consider a few extras parts to carry with me...
