Wow. I'm amazed.
Called up Richmond (manufacturer) to see what was up. They said hold on. So I did. I then explained my situation and they asked if I was Keith. I said yes....
"Your unit will ship out tomorrow."
So I guess Rocky Road came through after all. I was quite amazed.
I asked the Richmond Customer Service guy what happened or what changed, and mainly why I wasn't notified that it would be a week or week and a half before it was even produced. He said "That's between me and my vendor, I'm sorry for your trouble." So I said thanks, and hung up. So plans are back on track... I guess.

I just called the ranger's office to ask about ice damage / downed trees / etc. The lady there said:
- technically, we are not allowed to use a chainsaw to cut downed trees and clear the roads
- they have run most of the trails and the damage from the ice storms was not that bad, we shouldn't have any trouble
- Since we're also supposed to stay on the trails, we shouldn't drive around any downed trees.
- So we're supposed to just let the ranger's office know, and they'll come clean stuff up later.
Hmm. Anyone up for buying some 2x12s and making ramps?
Oh yeah, she was also quick to make the point that they don't have TRAILS, only ROADS. (ha!)

I spoke with a guy here at work who runs Zukies, they went out to Grand Lake this weekend and spent most of their time cleaning stuff up. (This was NOT the first time a cleanup crew had gone out, either). The damage there was significant, with trees too big to winch out... well too big for a Zuk with NOS, anyway!

Ok... so there were a few twigs on the trail. This sounds like a job for the BB Burb.

He said there were trees 8" in diameter. I'm betting some of those had some pretty good limbs and were tangled up with other trees... that could be a challenge, especially if it was on any technical section of the trail anyway.
Maybe a couple of us should take a short run down 1045 Friday afternoon, just to see what we run into. If it looks bad, we can stop by the ranger's station and beg for authorization to clean up that road, you'd think it would be possible to get permission to clear the roads esp. if we gave them specifics about where we're going.

I need some help here....

Alright... I don't know anything about these... but all I got in my box was the "drivers" and "spacer" is that all i needed from them? Are the "couplers" already part of my diff...?

Keith, it's all good. That's all there is to the V6 units. The side gears act as the couplers.
