Hey all! How'd the trip go?

 

Trip was awesome! but now I wont be wheeling anymore this year... decided to do a SAS and v8 or v6 swap. ended up toasting the clutch and breaking the front diff. Got lots of pics, should get them posted up before long!

 

Gary and I so called that one! We talked on Thursday and he was prepared to drag your butt of the trail.

 

he did... kinda. we got to use his winch. and it bent up his front bumper...

I've just got a few crappy cell phone pics of my new-found "carnage" and a few of the dam(s).


That's right under the pass. front door on the rocker. Didn't notice until i washed it cuz it was covered in mud still... Didn't get the door at all so it still shuts and seals nicely.


And then then dent back by the gas door, also pass. side.

ya, the good news was it already had a torn boot. I was going to replace it before the trip, guess its a good thing i didnt. now the sad thing is i doubt i'll need the boot. I'm making the plunge to engine swap it and SAS it this summer. which means i'll have some good deals on an IFS lift kit, and IFS front locker, and possibly a 4.88 detriot full carrier 4cyl 3rd.
