Let's put together a Utah Chapter
#22
Ripper and p nut I also lived in the Raleigh, NC area for 2 years. I'm thinking we ought to at least get together and meet each other whether it's in a parking lot, dinner or at the trail. Ripper is right, there are groups and sub groups...I know I've been a member in all areas-web wheeler and true participant. Hopefully we'll get some more Yota's and DO something. Jason, I'm all up for helping but I think as evidenced from the difficulty ut-ttora has been having we all really need to do! (Jason, are you still at ClearBra? I was down at Freeway Transmissions today and looked for the Runner)

I just formed the OH TTORA chapter - it was pretty darn easy. The great thing is the maintenance and hosting for your forum is handled by the national organization. It took them less than a week to have our forum setup on the newer system (same as here). There are a lot of perks to being affiliated with a national club like TTORA. Want to go to Tellico, Moab, Farmington, Rubicon, ...? There's a club and people there to show you around!

I think a new website might be a better route. At least a name that is clear enough so that others who see the ad will know what the club is about (i.e. bimmerforums.com, wasatchcruisers.org, etc.) Just a thought.

Anyone else that would like to come, feel free.
**Be warned that my 4Runner is stock. Also, I've only owned sports cars until now. This is my first 4x4.

"Yeah, that'll be cool. I usually work 9-6 every weekday. My weekends are generally free. I live in Cottonwood and work up in Layton. We can meet at a parking lot, grab some grub and hit the trails**.

Sounds good. Weekends are best for me as I'm in school M-F 6:00 am to 1:30 pm and work 2-10pm M-F. ut-ttora has a Ward Canyon clean up Sept. 30th. I'd love to get everyone together before then but it would still be a good opportunity to meet some fellow wheelers.

Jason you and ANYONE else are invited...I don't care if you drive an all-wheel Previa! In fact I'm going to Ward Canyon in about 15min, it's the last day before school starts so I figure I'd better check it out. Now we just need to put something definite together.

Ward Canyon is one of the trails connected into the Bountiful 'B' Area. Drive up 4th North and turn left on 1300 East and you'll dump right into it. The whole area is a great place to get a feel for your truck. This Saturday, I'm headed to Wendover for the Airshow.

So is the actual trail "Skyline Dr?" That's all I'm seeing on Google Maps.

I think I'm going to hit it up on Saturday morning, just to see what it looks like.

I'm not sure...Skyline Drive is up there. It runs from Bountiful to Farmington Canyon, I believe it's 22 or 25 Miles one way. It is passable by car usually. I'd take a cruise ur there and just mess around. Right out of the parking lot has some fun flex spots, just be sure to watch for trail markers as the FS is always re-marking stuff.

Indeed, we need to come up with a place and a time that we can meet and do some wheeling and meeting. I'd be up for a trip to Rattlesnake or Forest Lake. I know we need to be careful with our trail choice as some guys are modded and others are virtally stock. I ran Rattlesnake with my 'Runner stock with the exception of the running boards removed. Fella's start posting ideas and times and we can get this rolling! Weekends are best for me.

Ok guys, how about a trip out somewhere this weekend? I'm up for Saturday the 2nd. Everyone post where you want to go. I haven't been out to Rattlesnake for a year or so. I'm down for anywhere...AF canyon is always good but may be packed due to Labor Day on Monday. Let's get something rolling!!
