Wow now orv in moab are the cause of global warming! And the dust kicked up is causing the snow in colorado to be unskiable, seems to me skiing and off roading are done in two differnt times of the year maybe I missed something, but correct me if I am wrong but if you are offroading during the skiing season arnt you in fact driving on snow like the skiers are skiing on? they are digging deep to shut this place off to 4x4 and orv's so if we get rid of all orv's we will no longer have global warming?

From what i'm reading, they haven't voted yet. It's still on the committees.

That's why there is no news coverage as of late.

Last Action: Apr 29, 2009: Referred to the Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests and Public Lands.

you know i think! This wilderness act is a complete waste of our public lands, and taxpayer money. And technically its still open to the public, but you have to walk to access it. Moab is a 1 of a kind place to recreate, and closing this would be a tremendous disappointment to me and many others. I have never been there, but i hope that politicians quit hugging trees, and keep public lands open.

just my opinion and i think this bill is a p.o.s.

'Tis the biking, hiking and driving that draws me there at least once a year. Without the biking and driving I'm out. My money goes where I'm allowed to responsibly do the things I like.
'Sides, you wouldn't want GCSAR to get bored, now would you?

So now it's posted up on the local mountain biker's board. We're an active and vocal bunch when it comes to this sort of thing. Where are you guys spreading the word?

This "dickhead" is my Congressman for New York's 22nd Congressional District. He is very well known where I live. He is also anti-gun as well.

Oops, I crapped my pants.

Good one. You had me there. Hope it doesn't really happen though.
Never been there but plan on taking my kids someday.

Hey Guys, New to the yotatech. But wanted to give my thoughts about this.
First of all i was born and raised in moab utah, 5 generation.
What we have is a group called SUWA that is Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance.(aka SUWA SUCKS) And their goal is to shut down not only jeep trails but roads that have been open longer than any of us have been living Mining trails, Hunting trails, ATV/Motorcycle trails. Remember the guy that cut off his arm in moab several years ago? He is one of their main source of income to fund SUWA. We started a group to counteract SUWA. We have people that think "oh moab will never lose their roads and so i shouldn't get involved in this" Well guess what? Its almost to late and we need everyone to get involved in writing letters and supporting our new group called Sagebrush Coalition. Find us on facebook. Moab is not the only place to worry about, everyone else that loves their roads and being able to enjoy their freedom needs to get involved.
Thanks
