Please post your Post-lift, rubber, real-world mileage numbers (FJ Cruiser)

I'm curious how bigger rubber, 285 or 305, affects the mileage of the FJ.

Could you guys that have lifted and gone to a larger tire size please post some numbers?

I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Well, I figured since I posted in the FJ Cruiser forum, it was self-explanatory.

But to clarify, I'm specifically interested in the FJ Cruiser, 2007 or 2008, stock drivetrain.

Thanks.

Before lift and tires- 20 MPG
After lift and tires- 17 MPG

Automatic
285x70x17 Mud tires, Dick Cepek Mountaincats
Stock gears
OME 886 heavy duty coils up front
OME 895 medium duty coils back aft

19 MPG combined city/freeway.

Before the lift and running factory tires, close to 21 MPG.

The biggest MPG loss was not the lift and the addition of the ARB bumper and winch, it was the mud tires.
That knocked off almost 2 MPG.

I have kept all records of mileage at each fill-up...however have not done any of the exact math yet, sorry. All I know is 3 inch-lift, 295 mud tires...well worth whatever the drop in mileage is. ;-)

I got 21mpg on freeway but now with 285's and level lift and Lights and rack I get 17 to 18 on freeway. The rack made the most differents.
