OME Suspension Install, PICS

I finally got around to installing my Old Man Emu suspension for my FJ. I'm quite impressed with the overall performance of it as well. Since I'm planning on getting a bull bumper in the not too distant future(once the backorder for the dies down) I went with firm up front and medium in the rear. At first I was concerned that the ride might be too stiff, however I'm pleased to report that it is not at all. The vehicle drives quite nicely on the road, and offroad the extra clearance and travel makes a differnce as well. I would highly reccomend this setup to anyone with an FJ who is looking for a solid lift kit.

The pictures suck but I was too busy playing to take really good ones.

I'm working on getting some sliders, and I'll more likely than not have them before the fall colors run, also in the works are a CB, winch and bumper. Not necessarily in that order obviously.

Looks good Willie, almost looks like some 35s could fit...
Quit modding it or the yota challenge is gonna be a blow out.

I've had 33s on since the ride height was stock. They fit ok stock, but rubbed a bit. I don't know how 35s would fit but eventually I'll find out.

Darn FJ owners and their inability to upload pics. Try photobucket. I like the lifted look on the FJs much better over stock, let's see some pics!

I haven't gotten a bull bar yet, so that will have to wait but I can assure you all that I'll post pics when I get them.

It is SO OBVIOUS when that stock skid plate is even a LITTLE bit bent. I know the cure already - Several coats of "Stove Black" paint. It's the silver that makes it so obvious the plate is bent up.

As much as the stock plate is maligned it's not that bad. it's actually pretty stout considering how low it hangs, I've beat it hard on some rocks and not mangled it too badly.

i managed to bend mine up to the point of contact with the bumper. same rock managed to crush the mount for the rear trailing arm and bend the arm itself, so I would say its more my fault than the flimsyness of the parts. some times horse power is a bad thing, but I did make it up over that ledge!
