Will 32 x 11.50s fit on factory rims w/o rubbing?

I have a 1996 T100 with factory steel rims. The current tires are 31 x 10.50 x 15s. I'd like to go up one size in tire. Does anyone know if the 32 x 11.50 x 15 will fit on the factory rims? Do you think they'll rub (I have no lift kit, just factory suspension with Rancho 5000 shocks). There seems to be plenty of room, but I just wasn't sure. Thanks for the help.

They should fit. I have mine on 8" wide rims with 3" bs on my Runner. I would watch the valance, thats where mine rubbed, and the pinch welds.

Thanks. Are all the factory rims 8 inches wide for the '96 T100? I have my rims at the powder coat place right now so I can't measure them. I'd like to know in case I have to change my order at the tire shop.

Thanks

I'm runnig 32X10.5 (265/70/R17) on my T100. They just barely rub sometimes on the top of the mud flaps. my wheels are 17x8 (I think) sequoia wheels. you should have no problem running them on yours. BTW, I'm running no lift. strictly oem stuff.

I had 32 inch swampers for a bit and they rubbed, but an AT tire or all season shouldn't....

you can fit 33x12's on your stock wheel with extremely minimal rubbing unless you have a modded wheel well then no rubbing at all.

Umm,

I cranked my tbars all the way up, removed the mudflap and trimmed the bumper valance, and I rubbed quite a bit with 32x10.50 r15 swampers as well as 305 75 16 MTRs

I don't think this is correct advice...

That is correct advise, and if you ran a search, belizeoffroadteam's theory would be proven many, many times over.

FYI if you're running 265s75x16s, you're not running 33s. I just checked Toyo's site, your tires are 31.8" diameter and 10.8" wide (http://marktg.toyotires.com/file/18136.pdf)

Why not run 39"? Or 44"? Hell, why not 52" Michelin?! Just a little trimming is all you need!

this topic has been covered 450x over, hence my facetious comments.

265's have been said to be 31's on a website, but when placed side-by-side with a 33" tire it is identical so... ya

And lets do a test, go park on a flat surface, take a measuring tape and tell me what you ground clearance is(lowest point on the vehicle) mine went from 9.5 to 10.5 and from what i understand, for every inch of tire size (31"-32") you gain .5 of an inch for ground clearance.

cause i ran 31"x10.5" Pro Comp Xterrain and they are AMAZINGLY smaller to the 265's that ARE THE SAME SIZE WHEN PLACED NEXT TO 33'S.

Looking at the 31 X 10.5 Pro Comp Xterrains, they are only 30.5" diameter ( http://www.procomptires.com/xterrain2.html ). So you really picked up 1.3", or .65" under the tire.

I didn't think it was possible for people to still argue about something that has literally been covered hundreds of times.

I'm asking you nicely, RUN A SEARCH

Didn't mean to start a fight!

Thanks for all the opinions. I did try searching all the past posts and really couldn't find an answer to my exact situation. That's why I went ahead and posted the question. Sorry if it bugged people as repeat question.

Not to beat a dead horse more, but how is a 31 inch tire identical to a 33? Unless your 33 is bald, it is a 33 not a 31....

Wow.

I measured my bald(ing) 31-10.50's, and the front one is only 29, and the back one is 29.5. I check my tire pressure about twice a year, whether I need to or not.
