Vapor Pressure Sensor

Vapor Pressure Sensor
I need a vapor pressure sensor for a 1997 T-100. The part number is:
894-60-0w020.
Without this part I have two problems: first, the "check engine" light is always on. So if something else goes wrong with the truck I will never know it until the truck dies.
Secondly, I can't pass smog check in WA without it, which means I can register it, which means I can't drive it.
I already called many dealers and also Toyota USA directly. The part is no longer available from Toyota. (The guy said they make parts available for 10 years. How long does Ford or Chevy make parts available for? )
So, I guess I'm into wrecking yards but thought I'd try here in case anyone knows where I might find this beast. The prices I was quoted from the dealers who thought they could get a new one was $220 and $260.
One very nice parts manager checked to see if there was a superseeded part, and couldn't find it -- but that got me to wondering if mayber there was a similar Tacoma part that could be used -- maybe with different wires or something.
I need HELP! Thanks in advance for any advice you have to offer.
PS: It's stupid that the state requires ME an individual to keep my car smogged for 25 years but doesn't require manufacturers to stock the replacement parts needed to smog cars for that period.

You mean something like this?
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f166...-p0451-251680/
Part number he used is 89460-08020. Part comes from the Sienna van...costs about $172.

Best thing is to replace the entire canister. It will come with all the sensors. Give Gary from Newnan Toyota a buzz. He will have the best price shipped.

T100 1997 vapor pressure sensor
During my search for a replacement vapor pressure senor I ran into the same issues as you did at Toyota. There was a message during my Google search that said you could use the Tacoma 89460-04010 vapor pressure sensor but this sensor has also been deleted. I started searching the newer Toyota trucks vapor pressure sensor and I found the 894600C010 SENSOR ASSY, VAPOR PRESSURE. ... TOYOTA TUNDRA (2000 - 2003). This sensor works just like the 89460-0W020 sensor. Order one and put it in my 1997 T100 and the check engineer light has gone out and not come back on. The 894600C010 SENSOR ASSY comes with a bracket which is just slightly higher then the bracket on the original 89460-0W020 sensor assembly. Easily to fix for you slide the new sensor off the bracket it came on and than place it on the original T100 100 bracket. Connect the hose back to the sensor and you are off and running. There are after market suppliers for the 894600C010 SENSOR ASSY and cost runs from $153.46 to $220.
If you buy used the cost is $35 to $45 dollar in our area.

Just finished a 3.4 swap, and need a vapor pressure sensor to make the CEL go away, I found one at a junkyard, brought it back, and realized that it was a 3 wire sensor, when the plug I have is only for a two wire, and according to my wiring diagram and looking at the clip. All I can find online is the same 3 wire version that I already bought... Any ideas?
