I have a 95' SR5 3.4 T100 4x4. Recently the issue is it idles very rough during start up and then settles down and runs fine after about 1 minute. Also I noticed white smoke coming out of the tailpipe during this time. The truck had been sitting for awhile. The headgaskets were done under the recall. Any ideas what this might be?

 

Check engine light on?

Did you pull the plugs and check their condition? What kind of plugs are in there now? How old are the wires? How many miles on the truck/engine?

Could be the idle air control valve is sticking or dirty components. When was the last time IACV was cleaned? How about the MAF or throttle body?

 

Does it blow white smoke every time when you cold start it?
