Hello all...
97 3.4x5speed 2wd, 433k on the original engine, no leaks, no smoke, and no issues. I am presently in Afghanistan, but upon my return, I am gathering information for a 2UZ-FE install, keeping the manual 5 speed. I wish there were an easy way to drop highway RPM, but if I cant do that, I can give it an excess of power to putter down the road.

1998 T100 4.5 Auto SR5 - Strasburg Colo

Hi all, I just bought this T100 yesterday & joined the forum today. Unbelievably clean for 162k miles, previous 2 owners took the car for 12-14 years to Toyota dealers for suspension work, tranny flushes, rear end oil change, timing belt etc etc. Drives without a squeak or rattle, shifts better than any automatic I've ever driven. 3.4 liter, tow package, SR5 package, repainted a few years ago, so far I'm amazed at the truck. Drove it home in a snowstorm, so today added wood ladder rack in the bed to hold several sand bags - it's winter & the truck is already filthy.

So due to winter grime, I'll put up a few pics from the dealer - ignore that dealer plate, it's coming off pronto!

I'm sure you'll see questions here in the forum as I discover care & feeding for truck. Ciao....

Yup, before we even went to look at her, I researched a bit including toppers. Definitely keeping it stock, it's a refined RWD not a rough & tumble brute like yours....I like the looks of yours but I am no longer 4 wheeling.

If I have it right, T100 toppers are a bit rare these days, but the 2000-2006 Tundra Extended Cab toppers are within 1/2 inch or so, and commonly used on these rigs. I'll paint to match.

This truck originated in Texas & has ultra dark tinting - I can't see well enough to back up after dark, not even using side mirrors! So first mod will be adding a modern dashcam of the rear-view-mirror flavor.

First generation Tundra caps fit perfectly. I drove 200 miles one way to prove it with an ARE cap.

Good to know, thanks! ARE brand is on my radar as one of the quality ones, but since I'll be in the used market, too soon to know what I'll get.

Other than the color, its a perfect fit. It also drops RPM at speed around 200rpm, which does not break my heart. I could find no definitive cross reference, so I just found a tundra cap for sale on Craigslist and went to try it myself. Fits all the way round, the contours match (ARE Model 2053VC / 2003TTESVC)

Introduction to the T100 group.

Hello everyone, I am a 96, 97 T100 owner. Love my little truck! Building a 4x4 now trying to find an inner cab harness that runs through the dash, or someone who may know if I can tie the T- case harness into the TWD harness and still have 4x4 work. Happy to share info or mods I've learned anytime. Have safe travels and enjoy your Yotas.

Inherited

Hey all! My father just recently passed away and he left me with his T100.

It's a 1993 T100 4X4 SR5, auto with about 160,000 mi on it. I am so excited to work on it. It does need some work, but it's almost bullet proof. Need to replace the exhaust and find out why it give a hard clunk/grind whine when turning the wheel all the way to one side or the other. Got to take it to my job and put it on the lift to see what else it's going to need. I would like to turn this into an overland vehicle. I also want to put bigger tires on but I need to find out what it all entails. Disappointed that there isn't many aftermarket products for this truck.

The beast Hawaii 95 t100 sr5 v6 ext cab 4x4

Aloha from Hawaii i am a recent owner of a rusty trusty island t100 since March. Its a sentence to say . T100 95 sr5 4x4 v6 ext cab 5zv engine . I'm on my first truck and solid vehicle after my cheap van . This is the first vehicle I love and took a a chance despite the repairs.

my story is funny I had come to the island and had what they call a "puna" van a dodge 96 caravan which hit a lava rock and busted its seal on a trip to the other side of the island . It died and we got it sealed and worked with bad transmission after .

One day I return and I make a deal to buy a t100 and went with the van and it dumped at the dump and I bought the t100 with not much more then a test drive around the area .

It has been a wonderful truck and put the work when it became necessary immediately into the breaks and must of had a broken spring which I replaced both leaves on. This week is drive train support and u joints and a busted cv joint boot axel woops probably all previous needs I am learning step by step .

Learning its 4x4 engages but is supposedly broken and had Flintstone mud bajas and one skudder I called it bad Baja tire. One day I put 4x4 in 4 and got out of the driveway spin. What could be wrong with the 4x4 power in forward. I had swapped to better wheels recently don't worry.

Iam so close to being nudged to do these repairs myself but I make stupid mistakes. I'm learning so much despite costs and rusts its been cheaper then a rental hehe of a new jeep and much respect out here for taking care of this beauty. So far I get to the beach get to the beach for parts got up that 4x4 driveway. I want to access more 4x4 terrain and could fix the hoses if that's what's common with the 4x4 actuator.

Master baby yoda sits in the middle bench seat console for long rides requiring the force everything has been wonderful but need help to keep it going strong.

1996 T100 3.4 4x4

Hello all, I've read stuff on here occasionally for a little while, just building my truck up slowly into a full fledged overlander. Probably SAS my wife's 95 T100 at some point. Lots of plans including of course the Magnuson supercharger, and a few lockers and maybe a manual swap. Located in Tuscon area for anyone wanting to go wheeling.
