I recently got this ignition system from a friend who could not use it on his vehicle because of other issues with his engine. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it and would know which application to use when installing the system. It also talked about a Jacobs modified distributor cap, which jacobs does not have. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need a Jacobs secondary trigger. Your stock distributor cap should be fine.
the secondary trigger goes between your stock ignition and the jacobs mileage master brain.
The brain triggers the super coil which hits your distributor cap. You can read a lot about Jacob's systems here on yotatech. Good luck! Ganoid knows a lot about them too.
