we tore the front ifs diff ring gear and pinion and replaced it with a 90 model truck ifs with 4.56 gears the rear gears in the t100 were 4.30 and the 90 model had 4.56 in the rear but its only an 8 in and we need the 8.4 wanted to know if the tacomas 4 cyl 3rzfe at come with the 8 in or the 8.4 in 4.56 gears we can find the gears for the tacoma but none state if its a 8 or 8.4 carrier in the rear end

A t100 is deff going to have the "8.4" diff.

All non elocker prerunner and 4x4 Tacomas have the "8.4" diff and all elocker tacomas have the 8" diff.

98 and up 4 cylinder AT Tacomas with factory 31's came with 4.56's.

You can save the hassle of trying to find a factory one and just buy aftermarket.
