Lift kits

Has anyone tried these 3" bj spacer lift kits with 2" blocks and new shocks off ebay? I believe supreme suspension makes them. I'm looking for a cheap lift and to level the truck out, so any input is welcomed.

I'm not sure where I read it on here, but apparantly, there is no 3" BJ lifts, they're just exagerated measurments, and there's nothing more than like 2" ones.

3" would really mess with you're suspension geometry I would think.

Are they going to be okay to run? I need new shocks anyway so I figured why not level it out.

No. Dont run a 3in spacer. I ran 1.5in BJ spacers, and cranked my torsion bars to lift teh truck 1.5in. When I locked the hubs in, teh CVs where at such angle they would bind in the hub and cause the truck to hop, then they snapped. Run a 1.5in BJ spacer, 4crawler.com is a good guy to get them from, and run a 2in AAL, or 2in longer shackle. I ran this and cleared 33 12.50s on 15x8s with 3.75in back spacing

How level it that? My torsion bars are all the way up and my truck is still sitting forward.. And where do I get the Right length shocks for that?

prety level. If your torsion bars are cranked up all the way and its still raked, you got lift springs or shackels or a block out back. I just got some 2in lift shocks. go to topguncustomz.com and you can look at different lift height shocks

I'm not sure why someone would do that on the back and not the frount.. It rode terrible until I cranked the torsion bars up.. I thought it was suppose to be the other way around?

Hey if you want 3 inch spacer why can you just put two of the 1.5 spacer together to get 3inch?

Because that would be extremely dangerous. Just venturing a guess but you probably don't undstand exactly how the spacers lift the truck. Here's a picture.

Aside from the fact that the truck wouldn't be alignable, that would put way to much stress on the bolts that hold it all together. First bump or turn, let alone putting the weight of the truck on it, would snap the bolts and drop the truck to the ground.

That's a excellent little kit to buy. I purchased the exact kit for my 87. That seller is a really good guy and has very fast shipping. That kit includes everything for the front and rear as well as a diff drop. They include a pretty little key chain and stickers as well.

Now your reading 3" lift. The BJ spacers are only 1.5" thick. Giving you 1.5" of lift in the front. Now if you crank the torsion bars and add the BJ spacers then you will receive a total of 3" in the front. Always remember that cranking the torsion bars affects the ride quality. So only adjust them alittle at a time. Making sure your satisfied with the ride.

Yes the rear comes with blocks. Everything is included in the kit to install the blocks.

However you can ditch the blocks and buy a shackle that's longer then what you have. For example a 2" shackle gives you 2" or rear lift.

(My 87 has blocks, my 94 has shackles)

I have a build thread on my 94. I just installed my BJ spacers and shackles. Check it out if you need more info on it.

As I stated before, supreme suspensions is a great product and seller. Highly recommended.
