I recently noticed a 94 t-100 for sale for cheap in my area and noticed a cheap 5vz in a junkyard,i was wondering if anyone on here had swapped a 5vz into a t100 with a 3vz auto,i'd like to swap in a 5vz and a 5speed

there are a few that have swapped 3.4s into their pickups and 4runners and from auto to 5spd. can't be much different than a t100.

I am in the midst of this now.

All I can tell you is this.

This is not something simple.

You will need the engine, automatic transmission, a 1979-1995 4 cylinder 5 speed transfer case.

If you got some money, get the wiring harness from Off Road Solutions, the adapter for the transfer case and transmission and some other stuff.

I could find no one on the various Toyota sites I have visited who have done this swap into a T100, so it was pretty much trial and error.

The T100 automatic transmission (even in the 1993/1994 3.0 liter V6 years) was different than the auto tranny in the small truck and 4runner, but it still will not work! I thought I might be able to get away with it, but it won't work. I threw in the motor, it bolts up fine, but it is an electronic issue. Get the 3.4 liter transmission.

Right now, I got the truck with a Toyota guru, awaiting the final stuff from ORS (the tranny adapter and related stuff).

Go to the ORS site and read what is needed, because pretty much everything they say it requires is required.

I'll keep you posted when I get the thing back!
