AC Issues

Have any of y’all ever had this issue? Whenever I turn my fan to defrost it automatically kicks on the AC and even if I turn the AC button to off it still blows cold. Since I live in South Dakota I’m going to need it to blow heat in the winter time lol the heat works in all the other modes just not Defrost.

Can I guess that you have this kind of control panel?

And can I guess you're using that "FRONT switch, upper right area? (Number 2)

IF SO, then this should explain it:

That's all from the owner's manual Toyota provides.

Does this help?
Pat☺

I do not have that set up, I can try to find a picture of the setup i have because I’m at work right now, but my set up is the old toggle switches that go from left to right with the AC being a push button on the left side of the control panel. I will check my owner’s manual though and see what it says about it too. Thanks
