Tachometer is working, speedo and odometer have stopped.... Is it the cable or the speed sensor gizmo in the trans?

 

Speedometer is cable driven. Could be the cable or the gear in the transmission.

A quick test would be to take the cable off from the trans side and hook up a drill to it. Spin it slowly and see if it registers. Not sure which direction.

 

All right, I give up...where the heck is the speedo cable on the trans? 1996 T100 4x4 auto..

 

Follow the cable from firewall. It might be on the transfer case...

 

It should be the #1 in the picture...
