Removing fuel injection system and replacing with a Weber carb. My problem is wiring in the igniter. Two wires on new igniter orange and yellow a third single black
any idea as to how these are needing to be wired in to operator correctly?
Thank you
This is a 1991 Toyota 4 Runner that had a fuel injection .I want to wire in the new igniter from a 1985 Toyota wiring system parts are new. Three wires orange and yellow a single wire black.
I have removed the fuel tank and removed electric pump installed new fuel pump on motor and lob on cam shaft for the fuel pump.
Installing a Weber carb 32/36 my pressure from fuel pump should be 2.5 to 3 lbs.
Wiring is my problem to the new igniter.
Help is needed.....
Thank you
I think you need a 22R distributor also. Beware buying 'new' or refurb as they are NOT matching OEM, smaller body which means rotor/cap that do match OEM do not fit. I have not found any rotor or cap info that would fit. I purchased 4 distributors this year from 4 different places (2 from Rockauto, 1 from OReilly, 1 from Advance Auto and 1 off Amazon). Also the wiring is routed differently. The vacuum advance ports point in opposite direction from OEM too. Still works but need longer lines. Since going weber don't know if you'll use advance as I'm still using Aisan carb.
