Well lets just say it wasn't one of my smarter moments. I had a dead battery and hooked it up to a charger. Gave the charger a juice to see if I could start the truck and let it charge itself. Well I fried some wire under the dash, no got no radio, no domes or door lights. I miss my radio. What is the best way to tackle this one? New harness? Remove dash to find bad wire?

Id be more worried about what caused the wires to melt (if its not a fuse). By putting a battery charger on and then starting the truck poses no harm AFAIK.

 

Well after all of that, i found the culpret, it was the radio. so replaced radio, wallla. but taking apart the entire dash, totally unnecessary, allowed me to move my ARB switches to under the radio and clean up cab floor light wires, cb wires and some extras. thanks for all the comments, I am back on the road again.
