im looking to get a set of wig wags for my 94 3.0 pickup to respond to fire calls with and am not sure on how my wiring is set up in my truck. the light description on galls.com says that the galls wig wag flasher cannot be used on vehicles with ground side switched headlights. so i am confused on what that means and if it is possible for those to work. if anyone has a pair of wig wags installed i could use some tips please. thanks

 

I used a Whelen SlimLighter in my Tacoma - bright as hell and they mounted inside either the windshield or back glass.

I'd go that route personally - I'll sell you mine if you want it.

you might find info on working this out as far as the negative ground goes by wiring it with a relay like we do for the headlight harness upgrade. You end up switching from switched ground to switch positive through the relay harness.

Several years ago I had a wig-wag setup in my tacoma. Due to the switched ground setup I had to order a flasher from a guy who was making them @ the time. Unfortunately I've just read on the website (Thundercat Electronnix that he's out of business. I figure there has to be a similar company though that could get you what you're after. I found the guy and his company through ebay if memory serves my right.
