Question What is this plug?

There is a blue, three wire plug in proximity to my kick panel fuse box that isn't plugged into anything. I don't see what it could plug into but the PO ripped a lot of stuff out of this truck seemingly at random. I'll try to put up a picture after work if I can.

so your avatar looks like an 84-88 truck....when asking about stuff, it helps to specify what vehicle you are referring to.

might consider adding that info to your signature....

I got a picture of the plug. Also wondering what the grey wire is that's loose in there, appears to have something to do with the dome light.. Any help would be awesome guys.

it could be nothing. automakers didn't always make a different wire harness for every possible option combination. that plug could be towards something you don't have, like power windows or something.

Yeah, I understand that. I found it while trying to get my dome light and door buzzer working and thought it may have been part of the problem. I'm over the blue plug, noe if I could figure out where that gray wire is s'posed to go..
