Universal Light rock guards

Ok this may seem like a common sense question but I just want to make sure before I attempt anything. If I buy 6 inch driving lights for example some knock off hella 500s could I buy 6 inch hella covers and put them on the knock offs ?

Probably not angle/ curvature of the lens and depth would probably be different least hard covers might have a problem the little sock bag things should work fine

The $20 dollar a pair walmart/optatronics lights I have on my yota came with rock guards and hard covers plus there as bright as the head lights and have about the same pattern if your just looking for cheap lights
