im using a couple of tacoma fog light switches for my offroad lights and my fog lights.
i thouhgt i had the correct wiring diagrahm for them , but when i tried hooking one up to my fog lights they do not work properly.
the part number im using is 84160-04010.
along with the toyota wiring plug for the back of it .
heres the way i had it hooked up,
with the locking tab facing to the right , and going top to bottom,
1- constant 12 volt, i want my lights to be able to be able to turn on and off with out the headlights on. fused at battery
2- goes to the relay, pin # 85
3- i was told to hook up to the parking light wire , so the switch would be illumnated when lights were on
4- ground

now on the relay i had it wired like this
pin 87- the positive side of the lights
pin 85- to the fog light switch #2
pin 30- power supply , fused from battery
pin 86- ground

when i had it set up like this , the fog lights were on constantly along with the illumination of the switch.

i tried several different combinations and couldnt get it figured out , and blew a ton of fuses in the process.

so , does any one know where ive messed up at ?
im usually fairly good at wiring stuff up if i have the correct wiring diagrahms. but this has me stumped.
